2019 is almost in the rear view mirror

Did you ever wonder why Tiffin installs a rear view mirror in their coaches? It's not like you can see all the way through the coach and out the rear window - there is none. But it does tell you the outside temperature and your direction of travel - so it is good for something.

Here is how the rest of 2019 went for the club:

In May we went to Tanglewood. This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Good combination of trees and open space, usually quiet, and we usually get all the level sites that they have.

In September we went to a new campground for the club, although many of our members have gone here before. Tom Johnson campground - not the rally area.  We had a good turnout and the weather was good on most days, when it was not raining. No place to gather under cover so we went out to nearby restaurants two nights instead of our usual one night. Lots of nearby touring, with wineries, cheese factories, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

In October we went to another club favorite, Mayberry campground in Mount Airy, NC.  Another good turnout rally.  We again went out to eat, as a group, on two nights - due to threats of rain and cold winds.  There was a car rally downtown which some of our members enjoyed. It is always fun to walk the downtown areas of Mount Airy, shopping and people watching. Plenty of local lunch spots to try.

On Saturday, December 7th, we have our final event for 2019. Our holiday lunch (see the upcoming events page for more info).  I know our members enjoy this last get together of the year. We are again supporting the US Marine Toys for Tots drive, with our new unwrapped children's toys and gifts.
